Ushering Technical Analysis into Academia

The Technical Analysis Educational Foundation (TAEF) was established in 1993 as a non-profit organization known as the Market Technicians Association Educational Foundation, renamed in 2018. The original mission of the then-MTAEF was to create and fund educational programs in the field of Technical Analysis. Throughout the years, this mission has expanded to include the creation and support of a complete Technical Analysis curriculum that is now being taught in colleges and universities for college credit.

Through the support of the financial community and dedication of countless volunteers, the TAEF continues to extend its reach into new colleges and universities around the world.

Our focus is Education

The Technical Analysis Educational Foundation unites industry experts from around the global to develop comprehensive lectures, course outlines, and study materials designed for students new to technical analysis.

We recognize that much of the material available is either geared towards self-study or requires a fundamental understanding of concepts, and we put a great deal of effort into simplifying technical analysis in a way that a person with any level of expertise can easily grasp.

The TAEF Libary at Baruch College

The TAEF has a library of nearly 5,000 publications that constitute an important portion of the body of knowledge of technical analysis. Historical texts, journals, chart books, recordings, pictures, and market letters can be used for research and learning. Over 1,000 books are held for the CMT Association’s collection of cycles materials. The library preserves the past and can yield new insights when researchers, students, and academics examine its materials.

We thrive on the generosity of our supporters

The Technical Analysis Educational Foundation continues to penetrate new campuses across the country due to the overwhelming generosity of our supporters. Through highly anticipated fundraising events such as our Annual Analyst Auction and our Annual Fall Fundraiser, we’re able to marry the minds of industry experts to push Technical Analysis forward.

We greatly appreciate your generosity when choosing to donate to the TAEF. All donations are tax deductible!
